Beginner river Fly fishing days
Join us on our river fly fishing days!
FLYRUN is launching a series of river fly fishing days aimed at beginners. Each beginners fly fishing day will accommodate two anglers and will be guided by myself. The next day will take place on May 18th and the venue will be a 1.5 mile long stretch of prime River Usk. We hope that the day won’t only be educational, but it will also provide an opportunity to connect with other anglers.
We have 1 remaining spot for May 18th.
The day will run in the following format:
- Breakfast with a small presentation on river fishing fundamentals
- Getting tackle set up and selecting the right method for the day
- Walking the river and putting watercraft into practice
- A full day of fishing with guided instruction
- Picnic lunch on the bank with a bottle of local ale, ‘butty bach’
- Fishing from 10am – darkness
The focus for the day will be helping you become a confident river angler and to assist you in catching fish. You can expect to learn essential skills such as selecting the right fishing method and fly, as well as how to read the water effectively.
The next beginner day will take place on the 18th of May on the river Usk.
In an effort to bring fishing education to as many people as possible, we are proud to offer the bootcamp at an affordable price of £50.00 per person + cost of day ticket (£27.50)
